Ascensia needed to expand its portfolio beyond their traditional device offerings into a new integrated diabetes management service to help type I and II patients understand and manage their disease.
This new platform, intended to disrupt the category, motivates sustained behavioral change leading to healthier choices and improved outcomes for people in the US and parts of Europe, Asia, Australia and
South America.

The team developed a brand idea called “Powering Aha Moments,” rooted in the premise that an “Aha moment” defines the time when a person comes to the realization that what is happening in their life is impacting their health. With this idea in place, every touch point for the solution has been design to help elicit the Aha moment.

With the brand name Bonli, which derives from the French word for good, “bon” + “li” or short for “life.” Our look and feel embodies the attributes that make up our brand voice; calm and collected, simply smart and accessible and supportive. The hand-drawn patterns and organic shapes which complements the illustration and photography, captures a sense of vibrancy and personalized optimism that strikes a balance between humanity and technology to inspire patients to live their healthiest life.
